Michael, born in Sheffield, began trumpet at seven and quickly rose to perform twice at the Royal Albert Hall before age fourteen. Accepted by the Royal College of Music, he later became a professional touring and session musician, performing worldwide with top artists.

Born to perform, Melanie has been on stage since age three in North Carolina. After fronting Las Vegas punk band The Objex, she moved to Solvang, met Soul Cats manager Michael Roberts, and quickly joined the band. Now her high-energy presence brings a fresh groove that keeps audiences wanting more.

Calm and steady on and off stage, Miguel began music at nine and became a multi-instrumentalist. His bass playing blends influences from reggae, jazz, classical, and classic rock, giving the band its smooth, reliable heartbeat.
